¿WHAT IS BIM?
BIM methodology (Building Information Modeling), is a multidimensional digital work tool, which allows the management and development of a construction project integrating the operational phases and technical specialties that comprise it. This is achieved through a collaborative model that starts from the conceptualization of the idea, to the construction.
The projects designed and coordinated under the BIM methodology are developed through digital tools such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks and BIM 360. This is done through collaborative models designed by the different technical specialties that make up the project. We offer a level of detail ranging from "LOD 100" for basic scheme and preliminary project, up to "LOD 400" for fabrication details, assembly and coordination of technical teams within the assets.
The BIM methodology allows us to increase productivity in design and execution of projects saving time and costs, this due to the fact that during the coordination process possible interferences between different specialties are identified at an early stage of development. At the same time, the methodology allows accurate technical documentation of the project, collaborative multidisciplinary work, three-dimensional visualization and work quantities, among others.
Through the three-dimensional models generated, BIM methodology makes it possible to create images, virtual tours and 360° views to present the project in a three-dimensional manner. The purpose of this is to interpret the architecture, spatiality, volumetry and to highlight possible errors before they can be taken to the final construction.
Based on the BIM models developed collaboratively by each technical specialty of the project, in DBK we generate a coordination process by superimposing these models to identify and provide an early solution to the interferences evidenced.
